Disability Inclusion in Year 3

Melissa Ogden, mother of Xander (3ER) and Old Concordian (Class of '94), visited the Year 3 students and taught us about inclusivity and her first-hand experiences of living with a disability. Her lively and engaging presentation 'Living As A Deaf Person In A Hearing World' helped us understand what is helpful and unhelpful in communicating with deaf people and taught us about technological inventions that help hearing. She also taught us about resilience, self advocacy and disability inclusion. We really appreciated Melissa telling us her stories and answering all our questions.
