As we reflect on 2024, it’s heartening to see how much has been accomplished across our Concordia College community. This year has been a testament to our shared dedication to delivering a progressive, future-focused education grounded in our Christian values. Together, we’ve laid the foundation for even greater things in the years to come.
At the Concordia Campus, exciting developments are opening new horizons for our students. Introducing new courses, such as the Certificate II in Kitchen Operations and Performance Dance, will provide a range of new opportunities for Middle and Senior School students. The timetable alignment across all campuses now supports cross-campus activities and streamlined senior study schedules, ensuring students can access tailored learning opportunities. Meanwhile, innovative Performing Arts and STEM programs will strengthen collaboration and engagement across year levels.
At St John’s Campus, the focus on inclusive learning and enrichment will be transformative, with a refocused Co-educator model to provide targeted support to meet the children’s unique needs. Cross-campus events like Sports Day and Book Week have deepened connections between students and staff, fostering a sense of belonging. Additionally, strengthening student-led initiatives in Chapel and Assemblies has amplified student voice, creating an environment where young leaders can thrive.
The St Peters Campus has seen its own significant strides. Enrolments have grown, thanks to improved communication and family engagement. Programs like Friendology have enhanced student wellbeing, reducing playground incidents and supporting emotional growth. On the creative front, expanded opportunities in Music and Drama have energised the campus, with students performing in broader College-wide events like Concordia in Concert, MADD and Launchpad.
A commitment to foundational learning has yielded remarkable outcomes at our Early Learning Centres. Play-based learning has taken centre stage, encouraging creativity and curiosity. Enhanced collaboration between ELCs and Reception classes prepares our youngest learners for smooth transitions into school life. Staff wellbeing has also been a priority, with flexible policies and dedicated check-ins to support those nurturing our future leaders.
As we celebrate these milestones, I want to express my heartfelt gratitude. To our students: your energy and achievements inspire us daily. To our parents: your partnership is essential to everything we do. To our teachers and staff: your dedication and expertise are the heart of Concordia.
As we approach Christmas, may we take time to celebrate its deeper meaning—a gift of hope and love that calls us to grow in grace and faith. Wishing you all a joyful Christmas season and an exciting start to 2025!
