Year 5 students were excited to share their creative learning in Dance and Visual Arts this week. Throughout the term, they have explored Laban Effort Actions in Dance - such as flick, glide and float - incorporating these into the choreography of original dances. Connections were then made between these actions and different brushstrokes used to represent movement in Visual Arts. Paintings of their own dances were exhibited in Wirrkuta Trruku (our activity hall) and featured as a backdrop to their dance performances. This was an extraordinary celebration of the students’ creativity and talent!
