Year 9 Geography students are currently studying Food Security in their classes, exploring alternative farming methods and protein food sources. The wonderful Mr Whatley brought in his suitcase of Lego for students to build a prototype of an innovative piece of machinery, that could assist in sustainable agricultural practice... in half an hour! The classes came up with some brilliant ideas, including an underwater seaweed submarine harvester, a food-scrap mulcher and a multi-purpose tractor that draws recycled water. A great example of budding STEM minds in-action!
