Following a hugely engaging and literarily inspiring visit from Deborah Abela last year, Concordia students in Years 4 to 9 were treated to a two-day ‘Author-in-Residence’ visit from award-winning author Tristan Bancks in Term 2. Tristan shared a wealth of information about his books and his writing processes, and he also conducted a Writer’s Workshop with Year 7 and 8 students, helping them to develop their creative writing skills and idea generation strategies.
It was wonderful to have Tristan with us and we trust his input will stay with students as they continue to grow as writers. We also hope the aspiring authors amongst us enjoyed hearing from Tristan and that his visit further fuelled their passion for penning their own original stories.
