CARE@CC

20 June 2024

New on the list of lunchtime extra-curricular activities in 2024 is ‘Community of Advocates for Respect and Empathy at Concordia College’, more commonly known as CARE@CC. Coordinated by our Enrichment and Extended Learning teacher, this group provides an opportunity for students interested in careers in medical-related fields to witness stories from the health industry, and to thereby gain greater empathy and respect as they prepare for their future work. So far this year, students have heard from guests such as a retired General Practitioner with 45 years of experience, a doctor working with the Royal Flying Doctor Service and in remote communities in the area of Aboriginal Health, plus a researcher-teacher-clinician and Associate Professor from Flinders University.

The opportunity to hear from these industry professionals is invaluable in helping students as they consider and work towards future career paths in medical-related fields, and we look forward to more amazing guests sharing their experiences and wisdom with our students in the future.
