The Middle School Ethics Olympiad is a rigorous competition that tests the ability of student teams to think critically, to communicate clearly and to engage in respectful discourse as they explore ethical dilemmas. With more than 360 teams taking part in this year’s competition, our two Year 9 teams worked hard to develop their understanding of various ethical frameworks. It’s fair to say their preparation paid off, with one winning the gold medal and the other receiving an Honourable Mention. Our gold medallists have now been invited to take part in the International Final in 2025, competing against teams from Hong Kong, China, Singapore, Canada, the USA and New Zealand. We congratulate the students involved on their achievements and wish them all the best for the next stage of the competition.
