Our inaugural combined Primary School Sports Day on Wednesday 12 April was a huge success, with St John's Campus and St Peters Campus students competing together for the first time on the Oval at our Highgate campus.
Following the creative and very energetic 'House chants', students took part in a range of tabloid events throughout the morning, with many wonderful displays of sporting prowess and good sportsmanship, in keeping with a spirit of friendly competition. The final races drew enthusiastic cheers from both students and spectators alike before the final results were announced, with Cheltenham House (green) ecstatic to win their first House shield for some time.
The success of the morning was not only in the wonderful sporting involvement and achievement by the students, but also as an opportunity to strengthen cross-campus connections. St John's and St Peters campus House Captains led each House, ably supported by their Concordia Campus counterparts, and it was also wonderful to have many parents, grandparents and friends from both campus communities in attendance to show their support.
With the excitement of the day now over, we look forward to further opportunities to enhance these cross-campus connections and to seeing which House will win the Sports Day shield in 2024!
