A milestone moment occurred on Wednesday 1 December at our ELC and Primary School campus when Principal Michael Paech turned the sod, marking the commencement of construction of a brand new facility.
The new three-storey building will stand on the site of the former undercover basketball court and become a prominent feature of our Highgate Street frontage. Catering for triple-streamed classes from Year 3 to Year 6, it will also house a new resource centre - a vibrant, light-filled, contemporary learning space with flexible seating catering for all year levels from ELC to Year 6.
It was wonderful to have Hon. David Pisoni MP, Member for Unley, present for this special event, as well as representatives from Sarah Constructions, who will be completing the new build.
We now look forward to seeing this fantastic facility taking shape over the coming months as we prepare for the opening of our redeveloped facilities in 2023, providing even more opportunities for young learners to access an extraordinary education at Concordia.
