Keen to perform after a year of sparse opportunities to play to live audiences in 2020, it was with great joy and excitement that 74 student musicians journeyed to Mount Gambier for our regional music tour entitled ‘Generating Some Jazz’, following the cancellation of Generations in Jazz 2021.

Big Bands 1, 2 and 3, together with the String Ensemble and McKenzie Jazz Choir, stopped at Unity College in Murray Bridge before continuing on to ‘the Mount’ to perform for Grant High School students and the students at Nangwarry Primary School. They also performed a public concert at Mount Gambier City Band Hall, delighting audiences with their high level of musicality and skill.

We look forward to further performance opportunities this year, filled with gratitude for the chance we had to share the gift of music with students in the Mount Gambier region.
