Serving others is a core component of the Concordia ethos. On Saturday 26 February our College Captains and Year 12 Student Leaders served meals for more than 60 people at the Collective of St Mary Magdalene drop-in centre in the Adelaide CBD.
Concordia has a longstanding connection with the centre, providing meals for its patrons on two occasions each year, an initiative made possible thanks to the generosity of our community.
Once again, our students, aided by dedicated parent volunteers, worked collaboratively in the kitchen to prepare and serve the meals, having fun while serving with kindness and showing gratitude for the opportunity. A huge thank you to the many generous Senior School families who donated food, money and secondhand clothing to make the night such a success. It is wonderful to be part of such a warm and giving community.
