Concordia College’s history of high-calibre College musicals continued in 2025 with four sensational performances of Mamma Mia!

Set in the Greek islands, with an amazingly catchy and nostalgic repertoire of songs, the show delighted audiences as students stunned with their vocal and musical talent while performing some of the most well-known songs from Swedish pop sensations ABBA.

In his Director’s report, Drama Coordinator Aldo Longobardi wrote, “On the surface, ‘Mamma Mia!’ seems like a flimsy storyline shoehorned into a jukebox musical of audience-pleasing songs. Brush off the glitter and look a little deeper, however, and the show has much to say about love, family, missed opportunities, second chances and the quest for identity against the tension of external expectations.”

Not only did students sing and play the songs to an extraordinarily high standard, they told the story with energy, polish and commitment – a testament to their hard work and a true joy for audience members to witness!
