Students enjoyed soaking up many ocean facts as we marked World Oceans Day with interactive exhibits, including an immersive South Australian underwater virtual reality (VR) experience in the Resource Centres at both campuses on Tuesday 8 June.
On display for students to see and touch were a variety of marine artefacts, such as whale vertebrae, a Port Jackson shark, whale baleen and a dolphin skeleton. Students at the Concordia Campus were also had the opportunity to learn about scuba diving equipment, thanks to the expertise of Mr Brendan Toohey who generously lent his diving gear as part of the display.
It was a great opportunity to learn in a hands-on, interactive way, with students gaining valuable insights into this interesting natural habitat and the importance of ocean conservation.
