Our Year 7 to 12 Launchpad learning showcase, held for the first time in our new Fortiter Gymnasium, was once again an outstanding testament to the hard work of our students across a wide range of subject areas in 2023.
The showcase comprised music performances; furniture from Year 12 Design, Technology and Engineering students; Media and Photography work; student outcomes from Exploring and Activating Identities and Futures in Semester 2; chemical titration demonstrations, drone flying by the STEM club, visual and creative arts pieces, including final Year 12 artworks, and more. There was so much to see and it was exciting to welcome parents, grandparents, staff, students and community members to this event, with the students’ passion for learning in all forms certainly evident.
Year 6 students at both campuses also did a fantastic job of sharing their learning at their International Baccalaureate (IB) Primary Years Programme (PYP) Exhibition events in Term 4. Through a wide range of thought-provoking displays and interactive elements, as well as discussions with guests, students shared what they had learned and the action they had taken on an issue they were passionate about.
The Exhibitions saw students successfully demonstrating the attributes of the IB Learner Profile and were a sensational celebration of the immense learning that has taken place across their primary school journey.
